About Us Daniel C. Giddens, MBA, CIMA® I earned my MBA in 1983 from Southern Illinois University and shortly after, I began my career working as a financial advisor in Missouri. Over the past 35 years in this industry I have served clients in many capacities. I have worked as an advisor for 9 years and have spent 26 years helping mutual fund companies, insurance companies, and money managers build and market world class investment solutions for individual and institutional investors. I know our business from an advisor's perspective and from an institutional perspective. I believe that gives me a unique viewpoint from which to provide planning and financial advice, one that is not influenced by the marketing hype that can be prevalent in our industry. In September of 2013 I received the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst. (CIMA®). I am bound by both my certification and my role as an Investment Advisor Representative through KMS Financial to act as a fiduciary, always putting your interests first and foremost. I spent most of my life in the Midwest primarily in Illinois. I am a lover of all things outdoors so when I met Amy and she knew she wanted to return to the Pacific Northwest, the place she calls home, I jumped at the opportunity to leave the extreme cold and oppressive humidity behind. So far I have sailed around the San Juan Islands and hiked part of the Olympic national forest, not to mention skied some of our spectacular mountains. I look forward to expanding the list as my young boys grow old enough to accompany me on more adventures. Amy L. Giddens After earning a degree in Economics from the University Of Washington in 2000, I began my career working in the Financial Services industry. Since the beginning, I have been motivated by the work that we do for our clients and the privilege and responsibility of maintaining trust and integrity in all our interactions. I believe that the insights and knowledge our clients gain by working with us are the keys to beginning an empowered financial future. Since 2013 I have been working toward obtaining my CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™). I have now successfully completed the CFP® Certification Curriculum and hope to sit for the examination next year, in late 2019. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and extended family in the area. I always enjoy a good book, a new idea, and plenty of quiet time to myself in the garden.
